One of the best debut albums I’ve heard (yet) this year. Kerry’s horn is the essence of “fluid” and will capture your ears immediately! Kerry’s up-front horn playing on Hank Mobley’s “This I Dig Of You” made it an instant favorite for me… The ultra-swingin’ intro to Kerry’s original, “Free For All” set the pace for a totally enthralling 8:21 full of swirling & whirling creativity… it’s “full of fresh” and definitely in “movement mode”… one of the best jazz originals I’ve listened to (yet) in 2021.
